Dr. Zachary C. Sherman, OD, received his Bachelor’s degree with honors from Slippery Rock University, majoring in Biology, in 2014. Dr. Sherman then earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. He is currently furthering his knowledge-base and clinical experience by undertaking a competitive residency at the Cleveland Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in hospital-based ocular disease care.
Dr. Sherman has received specialty training in medical contact lenses, retinal disease, and blind rehabilitation. This experience gave him extensive exposure to glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, retinal vascular disease, immunocompromised patients, dry-eye, and red eyes.
Dr. Sherman has presented lectures at The Ohio State University and University Hospital Ground Rounds, as well as precepted 4th year optometry students during residency.
