Zachary C. Sherman, OD
Therapeutically Licensed Optometrist
Dr. Sherman received his bachelor’s degree with honors from Slippery Rock University while majoring in biology in 2014. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois, and is currently furthering his knowledge base and clinical experience by undertaking a competitive residency at the Cleveland Louis Stokes VAMC in hospital based ocular disease care.
Dr. Sherman has received specialty training in the following rotations at the hospital: medical contact lenses, retinal disease, neurology, psychiatry, and blind rehabilitation. The rotations provide extensive exposure to glaucoma, diabetic/hypertensive retinopathy, AMD, cataracts, retinal vascular disease, immunocompromised patients (i.e. HIV), dry-eye syndrome and red eyes. He has also performed urgent care triage, pre and post-operative surgical care (cataract, YAG capsulotomy, glaucoma and retina) while also participating in didactic programs at the VAMC optometry conference, University Hospital Grand Rounds, and the Cleveland VAMC journal clubs. He presented lectures at The Ohio State University and University Hospital Ground Rounds, as well as precepted 4th year optometry students during residency.

- Solo Eyecare Private Practice: Specialty Contact Lenses and Primary care
- Princeton Elementary Pediatric Clinic: Pediatric Eye Examinations and Vision Therapy
- Illinois Eye Institute: Specialty Contact Lenses, Retinal Disease, and Glaucoma Management
